Good from far but...

I moved in when APC was still 60% vacant. I got a pleasant upper floor 1 br with a lovely view of the pool. The only commercial lit sign I could see was Steinmart. Pleasant layout, nice kitchen, good bathroom, good washer dryer. When I moved in they were giving 2 months free as an incentive. But overtime I realized that the buildings were hastily constructed and not the highest quality. For example there was a significant 4 foot wide by 1 inch deep circular depression in the middle of the living room (no idea how I missed it when I checked out the apartment). And I was off-put that only one half of the balcony doors opened. And I tried to get an appliance fixed, making many calls and writing many letters, and it still wasn't fixed 10 months later when I moved out. And they had absurdly few visitor parking spots, and an idiotic no-backing-in rule for some spots and so the predatory towing service was having a grand old time, $172 bucks a pop. Ridiculous. But what really astounded me was the middle management office staff. I say middle management because the propery manager was fine, very agreeable (those other posts saying she was a devil must be refering to someone else who i will call the leasing manager) and the junior leasing staff was pleasant if not 100% competent. But the leasing manager and another leasing agent were ridiculously unpleasant. And I agree with the poster about the nonsense '30 day eviction notices' for day-late rent (for which you must then get money orders to pay - what a pain in the a).
