Parking is horrible. They just started a new parking system that makes no sense. This place is not worth it.

I should have read some of the other reviews before I wrote mine. Yes the gate is broken a lot and I have seen several letters about break ins in my few months here. The manager is nice, but some of the other staff is unprofesional and sarcastic. They let tow trucks in and tow the tenets cars at will. Once again parking is the worst I have seen. They claim to have a parking garage but the enterance has been broken and falling apart since I have lived here. Now they have 2x4s holding it up. I see a lot of from the manager asking people who complain on this site to come and talk to her, these are problems that won't go away. Good luck if you want to move in.

Dear anonymous and 103020,
I am happy to hear your comments but have to disagree with you. To begin, the gate has not been broken in quite some time and the last time it was broken, it was fixed in a matter of 24 hours. The parking garage had 2x4s in front of it because it was in the process of being repaired. You forget to mention all the rain that ocurred in the middle of repairs which delayed the process. Also, if you've ever dealt with contractors, you know that they work on their schedule, not ours. Imagine how frustrating it is for a staff of people who care about the property and it's residents(and who live here too) to have to deal with this damage to the garage especially when the very residents we are trying to work for ignore the clear signage at the gate stating that moving and delivery trucks are not to enter that area and therefore continue to cause damage.
I don't doubt that you are frustrated by the new parking system. We are too. No one likes change however, we don't particularly enjoy being yelled at by our residents when they can't find a place to park. We know that there is enough parking on the property, we just have to make it work. The lease states that we may regulate parking and this is what we're doing. It is our job to maintain the property and uphold the lease. I believe that, given time, you will find this parking system to benefit you as a resident.
It is common for apartment communities to utilize the service of a towing company to help regulate parking. We allow one towing service to access this property, and they tow people who are parked illegally. All residents are told about this at the time they sign their lease and quite honestly, this is to help keep you safe by towing from fire lanes and to clear up parking by towing vehicles that seem to be abandoned. We have set very specific parameters for the towing service because we don't want our residents to feel as though they are being preyed upon. Therefore, they are only allowed to tow for very specific reasons and on a very infrequent basis.
I am happy that you feel I am nice but disappointed that you feel the remainder of the staff is sarcastic and unprofessional. Quite honestly, these ladies do a great job at what they do. We all have bad days and maybe you've come in after one of these girls has just dealt with a particulary unfriendly person. That can really drain anyone. Additionally,I have been really impressed at how far above and beyond these girls go for residents just because they care so much. Many residents prefer working with the leasing staff or assistant manager because they have such a great rapport with them. Maybe what you are interpreting as sarcasm is an attempt to make a joke to connect with you. I assure you that if we knew you didn't care to have that kind of "relationship" with us, we would definitely refrain from sharing any personality with you. And please accept my apologies for this misunderstanding.
I did ask you to come to us with complaints first for several reasons: If you really want your concerns to be addressed, why would you post them on a blog that may or may not be read by the office? Also, doesn't it seem unfair that someone can go onto a website and slander a company or it's people? In order for this company to post an official response, we must pay money. However, you are able to say whatever you wish for free. I personally, wouldn't mind reading comments after someone has tried to rectify their issues with the office but am quite disappointed that someone can come to this spot and post negative comments and then tell the office that all is fine and they are happy in their apartment home. Regardless of whether you think the problem will go away or not, it is only fair that you tell someone of the gripe you have with them before deciding that they are no good. Maybe they have an explanation for what is bothering you or maybe they had no idea of the problem. As someone who is working very hard to keep Piney Creek a nice place to live, the staff at Piney Creek takes these comments posted here very seriously. We understand that these are usually angry comments and are not intended personally but we do take them that way, which is another reason it would help to have been approached with these issues upfront before being blindsided by them on a spot such as this.
We often hear questions about the comments posted on this page. Our residents will joke with us about this page. A majority of our residents think the things people have written are funny because they are mostly so far removed from the truth. Thank goodness for these residents who appreciate the hard work and effort we put into the property.
With all that said, thank you for your thoughts even if they weren't posted directly for me. Again, I do recommend that you come to me when you have concerns and allow me to work with you on them or explain why things are the way they are. Many of the things people have posted on this site are complaints that are covered in the lease agreement. I urge you to know your lease because in it are your rights and responsbilities as a resident. If you ever have questions, I will happily pull your lease and review it with you. Please feel free to call or visit this office at any time.
