I lived her for almost a year and a half and I really enjoyed it. I was just out of college and working downtown. The free shuttle was GREAT! It saved me hundreds every month on car insurance and DT parking, plus gas and car maintenance. All my repairs were made promptly and the staff was always super nice and helpful - even when I had to break my lease because I lost my job. They did everything they could to get my apartment leased and to help me out and about 2 weeks after I moved, my apartment WAS leased - during the slow season at that!!! I'm now living in Dallas and having some problems with the energy company in Houston and the staff at the Allen House is still going out of their way to help me with it. I only had one problem and that was when some younger people moved in next door to me and played very loud music at all hours. But whenever I complained to the staff, they made sure to take care of it. This place is in a great part of town and is extremely affordable. It is older, but it has so much charm and atmosphere!
