Hi, the allen house complex is not the fanciest, not the safest, (in terms of alarms, gates, etc... but its a GRRRREEATTTT location. Lots of cool restaurants and bars, among other social stuff within walking distance. Cool people live here too. Not the snotty ones that somtimes you will run across in downtown. They have very large apts for the money and if you work in the inner loop area, you have near zero traffic problems. I work downtown and I save the parking fees because I bike to work!! Its a beautiful ride too. I found this place from some website that had a search for Fun houston apartments and cannot remember which one. I think it was www.houstonapartmentlocators or www.houstonapartments.com or something like that. There were descriptions of other really fun places like this but most of which i couldn't afford. I think the site is http://coolapartments.com/ Just do a search for Houston. Good LUCK!
