Management is terrible

I lived in 7100 almeda for 16 months. At first I liked the fact that the apartments were cheap and recently renovated. Then problems began, my car was burglarized, the air conditioner from the apartment above mine leaked water all into my apartment ruining my wood entertainment center, cars in the parking lot started turning up on blocks, the police showed up at 2 AM knocking on the door looking for the owner of the car parked next to mine for reasons that I never found out and quite frankly don't want to know.
To put the icing on the cake...I finally got to move out. Not realizing the apartment required 60 days notice I gave notice a week late and the office made me pay for 7 days of rent beyond my lease. They sent me a bill for the amount owed and three days after I received the bill I paid it. Before the apartment received my check they sold the debt to a collections agency, less than a week after they mailed me the bill. What kind of place does that' They didn't even give me time to mail back a check! Not only did they send it to a collections agency, but I called them and told them to clear it up with the collections agency which apparently they never did because I got a second collections notice and then had the debt reported to the three credit bureaus. Three months later and I'm still fighting them trying to get it removed and I have a copy of the canceled check to prove it! What a pain.
Never, never, never, never, never lease here. Ever. I don't think I can say this enough. Its not worth it.
