I don't have many complaints....but we're still moving...

We have been here for close to a year and I actually loved the complex. A lot of people complain about the fact that you can't get in the gate if you don't have a remote, but then if the gates were broken and random people were roaming the complex at all times they would still be complaining so hey...you can't please everyone. I have had to sit outside for close to an hour because I forgot my remote and I couldnt get anyone to let me in so I know it can be a pain, but I will deal with that for the added security.
I didn't know about the break in's around here, which tell you that the management doesn't notify residents of such, but for the most part I haven't had any problems security. The gates are often broken because -------s keep running through the poles. The manangement is friendly and they know you by name, but they don't get to maintenance request quickly...at least they didn't get to many of hours..it took them 3 months to come paint the apartment after we moved in...
We did have a bit of a silverfish and ant problem...pest control came out once, but im not sure how they "sprayed" because I was in my bedroom sleep with the door locked and my roomate was in her room sleep with her door locked and we didnt take anything out of the kitchen cabinets...so im still trying to figure out what the hell they did when they were in here. I also was very embarresed when I had a friend spend the night and she woke up with a spider on her pillow and when she swatted it alot of smaller baby spiders came crawling out...it was completely disgusting...when I told management they just said that was normal because they are newer apartments and yada yada yada...i finnaly just got some ant and roach spray and sprayed myself and we havent had problems since.
The grounds were kept well except the occasional piece of dog crap....the printer in the business center is always broken and if your computer ever happens to go out and you need to get in the business center you have to wait for hours because some people are rude when it comes to the computer use.
The apartments are beautiful though and I have recieved nothing but compliments on my home so overall i would suggest these to people....ohhh the foundation is horrible, we always had new cracks in the wall pieces falling, I could also hear everything next door and above me...i know some people say you can't say the walls are thin because its an apartment but when you can simply hear someone flushing thier toilet or having a normal tone conversation in thier bedroom...the walls are THIN, its not well insulated. Don't even bother trying to sleep well if your room is next to the outside walkway...everything seems to be AMPLIFIED times 2.
They wanted to raise the rent and they dont really like to run specials...which i dont know why since they have so many vacant apartments...

They don't have to run specials because they suck all they can out of poor souls who have to break their leases. And, the reason there are so many vacancies is because the crime rate has at least doubled in that area of town.
