I lived at the Anniston for 5 years. The apartment was spacious and the rent was good considering a washer/dryer was included. At least once every two months I would look out of my upstairs window and see people going car to car trying to break in at 2am. Security is never on patrol. When you call them while witnessing things like this, you're on hold forever and the car is broken into by the time they answer. The last straw was watching someone break into a downstairs apartment and steal ALL the appliances (dishwasher, stove, fridge, washer/dryer). The flooding in that area is horrendous, Greens Rd becomes a bayou right in front of the Anniston and in it's parking lot as well. I lost 2 cars to flooding there and they were both high off the ground. I paid extra on my rent some months and it took 2 months to get back my credit due from rent. I only got my money back after I sent a letter to GFI Management. The person responsible for my rent credit disappearing is particularly rude and indignant and she will go nameless but she is the office manager. The General Manager Perry is diplomatic, sensitive to needs, and professional. He was instrumental in righting the wrong that was done to me. Maria Villanueva was extremely helpful and accomodating but she is no longer there. Maintenance man Robert is extremely efficient and knowledgeable. Beware of the mail lady, if you disturb her while she's putting out mail, she holds a hell of a grudge -- you may have important mail disappear!
