I have lived here in Apache Springs going on 8 eight years and the last year and a half has been pure hell. The security gate is ALWAYS broken and people use this as an exit which has almost caused head on crashes, suppose to have on site officer living here but that?s useless (he NEVER walks the property), domestic fights, alot of UTI students (which the majority of them are quite nice), cars up on blocks (looks like a junkyard in here now), parking is terrible (sometimes you have to park really far from your apartment and walk dim sidewalks), landscaping is a joke (unless it?s up front by the office - show you know), 2 pools only one is opened and it?s always dirty, rusty stairs, paint peeling, rotted wood everywhere on the buildings. The office staff has changed this year and they don?t care BECAUSE THEY DON?T HAVE TO LIVE HERE! I haven?t had a problem with maintenance but most everyone I have talked to says they can?t get anything done. This last year someone has tried to steal my car and also had it keyed really bad this last month. That has happened to several people I have talked to. The laundry rooms are new (for now, but I?m sure they will be torn up in a couple months). Security camera no longer works. Last July a shootout occured because a resident caught another resident trying to steal his car. May of 2003 a police officer shot and killed a guy that was hiding out in a friend?s apartment. Both of these men had warrants for suspicion of a missing woman in another state. I have 7 months left on my lease and can?t wait to get out of here. Do yourself a favor and don?t even consider this place.
