I have lived here for 6 months. I have had 2 rent checks "lost" and was served notice both times.

I complained to AIMCO (the owner) the first time my check was lost and was told it was because of a bookeeper that no longer worked for the company. I also complained that my kitchen cabinetry was falling apart and was assured that it would be replaced. That was 4 months ago and nothing has happened.

I was contacted a few days ago about renewing my lease and told them to get it ready and I would stop by when I paid my rent and sign for another 6 months. I went in to pay rent but my contract was not ready. I paid and said I would come by the next day to sign. The next day, I had a nastygram on my door saying I had not paid rent.

If you decide to live here, pay rent in person, get your reciept and take a picture of the person accepting your check so there is no question that you paid.
