This place is really pretty on the inside, though the patios are small. Very new construction includes built in computer desk, huge bathrooms, faux granite countertops, up to date appliances, nice fixtures, & Berber carpet.
However, why we ever thought it would be a good idea to live right off of Westheimer is beyond me! On a number of occasions, we have heard the buzz of construction (including jackhammers at 3 a.m.!!!!), the bands playing outside at the bar across the street, the constant parties of the tenants across the way (including the puke on the stairs drying in the sun the next day), and the noise of traffic on a constant basis (including all the race car drivers).
The fitness equipment and pool are nice and modern; the management is decent, though not exceptional (and sometimes a little ditzy).
The gate almost never works because residents and/or their guests keep breaking it to get in (like I said, we live right off of Westheimer -- party central!) They have a camera at the front gate, but it seems no one is ever reprimanded for damaging the gate. In addition is the safety issue. My roommate's mother lived in City West which is backed up to this property and someone was murdered in the apartment above her while we lived here. None of us felt safe in this area after that.
The grounds are pretty, but pointless as most of the views are of the parking lot. On top of that, they put all this effort into landscaping the sections in between units, but nobody ever walks there except the stray cats or lost guests trying to find an apartment. The walkways leading up to your front door are like the hallways to an asylum. Everything looks exactly the same, it's almost frightening. But if you're into that sort of thing, this is the place for you.
