Moved here a little before the winter hit. im in a two bedroom 1099 sqft. its a great size and im on the highest floor didnt want to have people walking over me making unnecessary noise. although there might be a slight downside for opting for a 3rd floor, because of the higher electric consumption. for those of you that may not know, texas has ridiculous kwh rates. // as far as my apartment experience with Archstone Westchase, it is as follows... // i have had my water shut off 3 times since ive been here, twice in the middle of the night and once in mid day right before work!!! couldn't even shower had to call off. but from what i understand this has been a problem for sometime and the only explanation is that its the city of Houston's fault.. (BS) // The gate sometimes has a mind of its own.. only been out twice since my stay, but was back up and running with in 72hrs or so.. Customer service isnt bad, typical attitude for an all woman staff. // Parking is an absolute NiGHTMARE, if you come home between the hours of 9-12 be prepared to park a distance if you live in the front, mid-middle, middle, back. you should be fine if you live in the far-back by the dumpster. // Speaking of dumpster, trash is a nightmare as well. there is no trash pick up from your door (which im not sure if im so much of a fan of anyway, just because trash at the door is an eye sore and could lead to bugs) you have to walk your trash about an 1/2 a mile to dispose waste..
Have had a few problems when it comes to charges on my water bill. i got charged a $50 fee (twice) for prorated electricity bill that came to be about $10 bucks!! the apartment sent the bill to a 3rd party and then that 3rd party charged me a fee of $50 because archstone sent them the bill of $10 and they (3rd party) sent me the bill for $10. $50fee =$60, Why didnt archstone just contact me'' idk..
recently i've been checking archstoneapartments.com and for the layout i have they are charging 250 more than what i pay.. if that continues at that ridiculous price, i diffenatly will be moving once my lease is up... ITS NOT WORTH ANYTHING OVER $900 FOR A TWO BEDROOM TWO BATH APRTMNT!! EVEN THAT IS TOO MUCH..
