I have lived in this complex for two years. I enjoy the Westchase area, as it seems to have everything I need within a 5-10 mile radius. The maintenance response is really great and I don t have problems with parking as I live in the very last building. This brings me to me to the title of my review, BE CAUTIOUS! Yes this is a nice area, however, car vandalism is REALLY bad. If you move here, do not leave ANYTHING of value in your car. If you have rims on your car, make sure you have a lock on them. Also, if at all possible rent an apartment where your vehicle can be parked near your apartment window. As I mentioned before, I ve lived here two years and my car has been vandalized twice. My old neighbor across the hall had been vandalized three times before finally moving out. In addition, ran into a new tenant just last week. She signed a six-month lease and her car was vandalized during the first week. The complex has made a little effort to rectify the problem. They ve hired security to monitor the parking lot at night; however, the complex is too large for one security guard to monitor.
Also, as with other apartment complex s, expect the rent to increase whenever you renew your lease. If I were to renew my lease again in May (making it the second renewal), I would be paying almost $100.00 more than I was paying when I moved in.
Moral of the story, love the complex, crime is really bad and not getting better and expect your rent to increase with each lease renewal.
