yes, the water has been a problem. but the city of houston has addressed the issue and it shouldn't be a problem anymore. i didn't experience it myself, and i'm sure it was a horrible ordeal, but it shouldn't something that is held against the property as it was the city's problem (at least, that's what the leasing team has told me).

i love the property. it's small, intimate, and you've got a lake setting in the middle of a city. it's beautiful to watch the sunset with the water shimmering and the rays filtering in through the branches of the trees. the staff here knows your name. that's a big plus for me. and it looks like the leasing team is getting better, turning over a new leaf. i've had positive experiences dealing with them.

i haven't had any issues with maintenance yet, but we'll attack that issue if it ever comes up. parking is the same as it is in any complex. yes, it's first come, first serve, but really . . . isn't that the way it's been forever and a day everywhere' as to the electric bill, yes it's a bit higher, but you've also got tons of gorgeous windows. you don't find that in most other complexes. the complex is built right up next to a lake, so of course there are puddles forming when it rains. that's nature for you.

being on the top floor, i don't have issues with neighbors . . . and i've not had anyone complain about me. this is an older complex, but it's very well maintained. you find things here that the newer apartment complexed don't have . . . windows galore (that's a big plus for me), beautiful french-like doors to the patio. it's the little things that count.

i've lived in several new luxury apartments. in the most recent one before a.l., i was actually the first resident to live in that apartment. they're great places, but they're huge complexes. and unless you really see them often, they don't know who you are. and honestly, i was paying for amenities that i'd never used . . . things like tanning facilities, basketball courts, and media rooms.

here, i feel like i fully can enjoy everything that the leasing office uses to 'sell' the property. i love the lake, i love the trail, i love the ducks and turtles . . . i can rent movies (though i do think that the selection could be increased) . . . i go and have a cup of hot chocolate or gourmet coffee when i feel like it . . . i plan to go swimming when it's warmer, and if my computer was down, you bet i'd go and use their business center in the front office. it's good to know that i'm not throwing money away because i'm not fully utilizing their facilities.

no, the leasing staff didn't put me up to writing this review. i just happened to come across it, and i feel like they've gotten a bad wrap because of water issues that they couldn't control.

no apartment complex is perfect, but if you give them a chance, you'll see that they really do care about their residents. if you come up to them with a friendly smile and treat them with respect, they'll answer in the same fashion. if you come up to them with a negative attitude and a rude behavior, how should you expect them to treat you'

check out their specials, and come take a look at the property. i fell in love with it, and haven't regretted my decision since.
