Great Location, But Needs To Be Updated

I've lived here for one year.
PROS:
LOCATION.
SAFETY:
I have always felt safe. The entrance door is secure and it has interior entrance hallways like a hotel.
OFFICE STAFF:
Has been friendly and helpful.
MAINTENANCE:
Good guy, friendly.
TENANTS:
Very friendly.

CONS:
AGE OF APTS:
More than 30 years old and as things break they are not replaced with new, they are replaced with used (ie: dishwasher).
PLUMBING:
Pipes have broken and caused water leaks in the hallways and in others apartments.
PARKING GARAGE:
The parking gargage is located below apts and usually is full of water from dripping overhead pipes.
PETS:
If you have a pet the area to walk them is extremely limited to a small area in front of the building.
CARPETING:
The carpeting in the apartments is low quality and poorly installed.
KITCHENS:
Very small, with inexpensive appliances.
GYM:
Always filthy. My guess is the maintenance staff never wipes down the equipment. The gym is not properly maintained.
**CONCLUSION**
Avalon Square is safe and has a great location. However, due to the age and lack up upkeep of the building, it left me looking for something newer.
