I have been living in Balboa for 6 months. When I first got there I thought this place was perfect, Lake Front, large living areas, great neighborhood, and inexpensive. But over the months I have found out the hard way that that was a cover for this dilapidated soon to be condemned establishment. My first clue was the first cold night of winter. I tried to turn my heater on, just to find out that the climate control fan doesn't work because of the very loud grinding sound that it makes. When I informed management of the problem they said "no problem" "I'll place that work order right away." Days passed, still no solution, so I called again. and once again I got the same, "no problem." More days passed, still no solution, still no heat. When the temperature continued to drop to the point where I would come home every night to an apartment below 60 degrees I started making calls to the office every day and to there answering service every night, FOR MONTHS and every time they would feed me a lie about the heat not being turned on for the entire complex because of the outside temperature not remaining consistent, however any of my neighbors I spoke to had a nice comfortable temperature in their homes. Because of there lack of attention I had NO HEAT this winter. I was however lucky enough to receive some heat from the building catching fire every week. That s right every week there would be a fire truck in the street and smoke in the hallway because this kindling of a building was a portal for the fires of hell to rise up to earth. It's a good thing the fire fighters get their own fire lane or else they would have been forced to play the game that no one wins of find parking at Balboa. There are hundreds of empty spots around the complex however they are blocked by caution tape because the management has made to progress in de condemning the car ports, so everyone is forced to search through the lack of spots before being able to park at their own homes. But make sure the spot you find has your exact name on it or else management will have your car liberated to the impound lot. It is now summer time, kids are out of school, pools are opening up, and fun is being had all around. Except in my home because I get reminded that climate control fan still hasn't been fixed after 6 months. So now that lets play in the sprinklers temperature of 90 degrees has found its way into my home. Taking it to new levels of uncomfortable for this fun in the sun season. However what makes this place so special in my heart is the subtle details. puddles of urine in the defective elevators, random 36 hour power outages, drug dealers in the hallways, and of course the fear of getting shot on the way to your car every night. Many of these reasons have me regret everyday sighing that lease. I believe that the only salvation these apartments can find is to redeem themselves by tearing down this building and salting the earth where it stood so that nothing else can grow on this forsaken land. This story is a small hint of my distaste for these apartments and hopefully it will serve as a warning to anyone even considering signing a year of there lives away to these people. Don t make the same mistake I did run as far away from this place as you can and tell everyone you know to stay away. I apologize if this letter comes of as a crazy rant; however my intentions are simply to warn others of the worst apartment I have ever lived in. I hope you heed my advice.

A friend drug me there for the 1st time in about 4 years the last time I was there....WOW are you kidding me? The place is one Big Crack House. I walked the Hall and smelled Pot....burnt Brillo smell...hmmmmm. I would not go in I just wanted to RUN to the car. After getting in the car I actulaay breathed a Big Breath and felt sorry for the people living there. I can not beleave Nassau Bay let them get away with that.
