This was the worst place I have ever lived in my entire life and I unfortunately lived there for FOUR YEARS! The sheetrock would just fall off the walls, the carpet had to be twenty years old, and the insulation sucked. There was always noise from everywhere, but always in the middle of the night from neighbors playing there extremely huge stereo as loud as possible. Good luck living there if you're a student. My air conditioning would always break in the summertime and my heater would always break in the winter (this is with a newborn infant in the house) and it would take them MONTHS to even send a maintenance person to evaluate the problem, even after personally requesting a service ( I also did this in writing). There was so much crime- prostitutes, drug dealers, drug takers, break-ins (home and car)- and the police would bang on the door looking for suspects. Needless to say, safety wasn't there. My crappy air conditioner placed over the tub would leak into the ceiling and then to the floor-we would have our own private waterfall. There was a nasty apartment next to us that had a pigeon haven in it and unless you placed a cover over your porch to keep the birds out, you would have them to, I lost count of the amounts of nests and eggs I threw out. Not to mention anything you put outside is bound and determined to get covered with bird poop. As far as I know, they are still there. Also, there was trash everywhere and pitiful attempts at gardens that were overrun with fungus and whitefly (and more trash). I would say 90% of the inhabitants are illegal immigrants from Mexico who'd stay for a while then move in the middle of the night. When we finally left we payed everything in full and even had a letter signed from management saying our account was cleared, then three months later we get phone calls from creditors saying that we still owe money, even though we never recieved any kind of bill in the mail. We were honest and performed correct protocol when we exited the apartments, and they are still trying to take advantage of us (probably to make up for the losses of the people who leave and go back to the valley). I feel like we were taken advantage of the entire time we lived there and not one person in the office even cared if we had any kind of problem. Of course, it's kind-of hard to recieve help when every time you walk into the management office, there is an entire new staff. I believe the record of shortest stay is 3 days. So, take a tour and make your own decision, but you're setting yourself up for disappointment and frustration if you decide to live here. I would NOT recommend it.
