Bayou Park Village Apartments

Not my first choice Would not recommend From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/31/2007 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007 1 response   I would not have moved in here if I was not in dire need of an open apartment immediately! For an older complex this one is not the worst I have seen. The fact that they allow all types of pets is convenient as well. Also the location is great. Rent is way to high for the quality and the level of service they provide. They really talk up the huge gym, however the equipment is old and always dirty. Noise is a HUGE problem, lots of traffic all hours. Inconsiderate people with loud car systems at all hours, poor insulation/old falling apart construction(there were half inch gaps in my front door!) you can hear every step from above apartments as well as the smallest noises from outside. Have had maintenance several times over a 4 month period to fix a constantly tub faucet, just needs to be totally redone! Shoddy patch jobs are not working! Office staff is generally ok, everyone seems nice but they frequently close the office at odd hours and for special "parties". A separate bank of larger mail boxes for packages would be great to have for large mail deliveries as the post boxes are the smallest I have ever seen, not even the size of a shoe box. Its a pain to constantly have to pick up packages in the office, especially when they are not open when most people get home from work. I will be relieved when my lease is up! Assigned parking would be nice, I do not feel safe walking from one side of the complex to the other at night when there are no spaces near my apartment.
