I really like this apartment complex. I lived here from 2008-2009 and the new management is completely overhauling the entire complex.
They take maintenance serious and were very quick to fix problems. Yes the complex is old, however NEW MANAGEMENT is turning this place around very quickly!!!
Overall this is not a bad place for the location and proximity to downtown Houston.

AHAHAHAHA! This is too funny. Trust me, I have lived here for a while, if you are lucky enough to have an apartment that doesn't need a lot of maintenance then I'm sure maintenance requests are addressed promptly, however, if you're as unfortunate as myself and are in an apartment that has innumerable problems, requests aren't handled as promptly. I'll put in a request on a Thursday and it won't be repaired until the following Wednesday. Twice they've lost my request or didn't put it in so I've had to request it again. My apartment has needed LOTS of work and it why not? The apartments are old and falling apart which is why they are working on the exterior.
If you move in, expect: Rain gutters falling down or missing completely resulting in a lot of puddling water; rotten wood; poorly lit exterior; slow maintenance response; unprofessional leasing staff; poorly build buildings -you hear everything next door; stray cats wondering around everywhere; old, old, OLD gym equipment.
Not worth it. Buy a house. Move further away. Rent off Craigslist or HAR. Do whatever you can to avoid this place. Trust!

If you mean that you are still living there and that from 2008/2009 this means that you had contact with the old manager (bit better), but that now you have ----------- as the NEW manager. The company that owns the place can put any high school drop, unqualified person out as manager ...
Additionally, management changes all the time but the maintenance team is the same since I went to live there in 2007 (and before).
Only improvement that was done was to fix the roof that was damaged during Ike, and that was done months after the storm.
This place is a hazard for anybody physical and mental health (this last due to the "NEW MANAGEMENT").
