These apartments are roach and silverfish infested, overpriced and CORRUPT. Don't let the stucco and Palm trees deceive you. Let me start out by saying that "Tammy" the so-called manager of the property is completely BITTER, RUDE, lazy and disrespectful. Nobody knows WHAT her problem is. Any time I've gone to the office all she does is lurk around hiding behind corners, refusing to come out and face me because she knows exactly what a horrid place she turned these apartments to. When we first moved in the Bellmeade it was absolutely gorgeous, we loved it, it was under a different management team and they were so friendly and helpful and always satisfied their residents,- anybody remember Cheryl, she was the absolute BEST. I overlooked so much (like the paper thin walls) during that time because I was happy with everything else and I knew that no apartment is perfect.
Then this Riverstone took over around February 2007 and that's when all hell broke loose. They were cutting deals with their undesirable friends, not doing income or background checks and letting them in for over $200/ a month cheaper (which is still overpriced) than what the rest of the residents were paying for the exact same type of unit. Cars began to get broken into among other things that were stolen and vandalized. Also at the pool and weight room there were usually a handful of unattended adolescent aged males running wild, climbing all over work-out equipment, or outside on furniture, damaging things and yelling and cussing, all of which I did not want my 5 year old daughter who I send to a Christian private school getting exposed to. I avoided walking anywhere in the complex alone after dark. It was downright scary there. So ghetto. Thank God we finally got our house and were able to get out of there. Every neighbor I befriended at the Bellmeade was experiencing the same problems and could not wait leave. We all used to count down the days until our leases were up....90,89,88,87...
I have lived in much older, smaller, not nearly as attractive apartments before and had a 100% better experience at the older places. Management is everything. The bad ratings for this place are VALID and accurate. I lived at the Bellmeade for a year and a half, was a very good resident, clean, paid rent on time and never got complained on. But those people in the office were so ugly towards me. That's when I could actually get in contact with one. They NEVER answered the phone, and the doors to the office remained locked during normal business hours. They are extremely incompetent when it comes to records. If you are unfortunate enough to still be stuck in your lease at the Bellmeade be sure TO DOCUMENT, MAKE COPIES, AND SAVE EVERYTHING. None of them have ANY idea of what is going on. One person will tell you one thing, then Tammy calls you out of the blue with a bunch of bogus charges that you just wind up paying just to get the heck out of there. In fact that's probably where the Bellmeade makes the most money: people doing whatever it takes to get out of that place.

escuse me but I know Tammy very well and I dont know who you think you are but mabye its you or some of your friends that make it a bad place to live. it is not the office staff it is the residents that live there and try to take charge all yall do is pay rent so if you dont like it then leave and have you told all of these things to tammy??yeah, didnt think so!!

I agree with EVERYTHING said in this complaint. Management is horrible and when you have all of these bad reviews, it is definitely management and NOT the tenants that make the Bellmeade horrible. I had a bad experience with Tammy too and I am sorry that whoever says they know her is offended. She may be a wonderful person and an even better friend, but she is definitely not a good manager at the Bellmeade that is. I lived at the Bellmeade for 2 years which shows you I actually like them at one point and time. I am soooo happy I am finally out of there and I wish everyone luck when picking this place to live.

I agree w/everything on this post!! When I first moved in I was 8mths prego. I was so excited to move into these apts b/c they looked so nice and the managment staff was extremely nice. As soon as Tammy and her gang of un-educated staff came along the whole place turned to ----!! They totally turned that place upside down! Tammy was extremely rude and so unatantive to your needs....It was like if u had a promblem and u asked for help it was an inconveince to them! I'm so glad I don't live there anymore!!
