I lived in these horrible apartments in 2006 for almost a year. I lived outside the gate,in apartment 612 on the same side with the leasing office. I only called maintenance to my apartment once and that was because my a/c filter needed to be changed and they needed to fix the top part of my stairs because it was broken, falling apart, and unsafe for me because I was 3 months pregnant at the time. they fixed the a/c but the stairs never got fixed. I called the office multiples of times and they never did anything about it. the ticket said the the maintenance guy fixed eveything and that was a lie. I didn't complain anymore. My lease was about to be up so I put in my 30 day notice telling them that I was going to pay my rent in advance for the next month, January, that was in December, the week before Christmas that I turned it in on a Friday. the next Monday, I found a note in my apartment saying that I had a leak in my apartment, that the water from my apartment was going into my neighbor downstairs apartment and I knocked and asked him myself if water was leaking into his apartment from mine and he said "no, why what's wrong'" I called the office asking them why are they in my apartment without my permission. I didn't complain about no leak, an they said that they didn't have my apartment down for a leak in their complaint book. A few days from Christmas my apartment got robbed. Over $4500 worth of stuff came up missing and the person that broke the door must have been real stupid because they tried on my husbands air force one's at the door and I guess they couldn't fit them because they left them at the door. they stole my laptop, my husbands xbox 360 and left the remotes and live modem, my gucci duffle bags and suitcase, and what's so funny about it. the apartment people saw them and din't do anything about it. they didn't even call the cops. they told me they did, but when I called they said no one reported any robbery. They wouldn't even come and fix my locks on the door. so I packed the remainder of my things and I dodged out of there. I have the police report to prove it. another funny thing was my neighbor downstairs apartment got broken into also, but they only took his CD and DVD collection. and they never fixed his door.
