The apartments are cheap, but there is a reason. Its not safe for families to go out even out of the door of the apartment. There are frequent breakins reported and the management doesnot want to get involved in anything ("talk to police if you want"). Not a very friendly place either.
I am not racist, but after staying there I can say is there are some truth in stereo typing "black" and "hispanic" niebourhoods. I usually would hear from other people that the "spice lane" which is right next to the appartment is a drug area (you can hear shots sometimes). Basically NOT a friendly place
