Cambridge Oaks Apartment

unsanitary From: mvhearn Date posted: 3/27/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003 1 response   I like being close to school but this isn't worth it. I had a serious mold problem caused from a leak in the next apartment. I contacted the office twice and nothing was ever done. When the mold started growing through the kitchen tiles and in the kitchen cabinets I finally had to threaten to call the Health Department. They did fix the leak in the other apartment, they replaced my tile but only sprayed chlorine in the kitchen cabinets. So the wood in the cabinets is really warped and the entire place smells of mold. I have done everything to get rid of the smell but it just comes back. Also, they havent been spraying for bugs because all of a sudden we're getting roaches...sick. They are renting an efficiency only like 450 square feet, for almost (price is being raised) $700 a month, it may come with roadrunner internet (roadrunner coming in fall semester) and time warner cable but that is way too much for the unsanitary conditions we have to put up with here. Not to mention someone shot a gun outside my apartment at 2 am one night. They do have one of the nicest laundry facilities I have ever seen.
