Camden not concerned with your safety as a tenant From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/29/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   Lived there for 3 years (as a good tenant) and got burglarized (along with 3 other apartments on the same day). They simply kicked in my cheaply made front door (it was deadbolted) and vandalized my apartment - and took ALOT of valuables. Leasing office was not only very UNhelpful, but they made my family and I feel unwelcomed and further victimized after our place was violated. The leasing manager (I found out through some investigating ... trust me) has a history of confrontation with tenants. She basically treated us like garbage when we asked to not be penalized for breaking the lease (due to not feeling safe) 2 months early since my family did not feel safe anymore. She was unprofessional and condescending. It took the district manager to overturn her decision so we could get out without penalty. Afterwards, I was served with a notice from the manager saying that I threatened her and disrupted business. Here's the honest truth... Doors and accessories are cheaply constructed; parking gates are always broken and wide opwn; resident gates are constantly compromised; noisy party kids act up and get loud after 2am; tenants put beer bottles under your car tire and vasaline on your car door handle when you park in a good spot; you're treated like a criminal by the leasing office when you question the safety of the complex; and they never post notices of burglaries to the tenants. Before you live here, read your lease, and demand to see the crime reports they have. In the lease and from the leasing office, Camden obviously is NOT concerned with your safety.
