There were so many vehicle thefts in one day at this place, it made it on the local news. Enough said.

Yeah, there were some break ins back in December I think it was - but not just this place. You easily forget KPRC did a report on the ENTIRE Greenway area. Get your facts straight. One better, go to the HPD website to get the facts. You live in the city, not a bubble, genius.

I am so glad I already moved because my apartment got broken into and they did nothing to help the situation and on top of that made me pay outrageous fees!

To Pimpster, if any items were stolen/broken did you utilize the renter's insurance that the apartment requires you to have? Also, all apartments are equipped with alarms. Alarms don't have to be activated to go off if you have a burglar...or if you choose to have it activated (so that it contacts the local police when the alarm is tripped) the service can't be more than $35 (or less) per month. Break-ins happen regardless of where you live...in fact, they are more likely to happen if you live in a very nice area like Greenway. You kind of have to take some responsibility in preventing theft of your car or apartment, by not leaving items in your car overnight and by securing your apartment/alarming your home when you're gone. I think people's expectations for apartment living are a little convoluted. People complain so much about the rent (in spite of the fact that it is in one of the best areas of Houston to live in), but imagine how much complaining there would be if the complex hired a security guard. Other than hiring a security guard, I feel the apartment is doing as much as it can for us in this department.
To the person who originally wrote this post, the news crews are a block away from Camden....anything that happens in Greenway is ALWAYS on the news. We were recorded by channel 13 merely standing in line to get into Kroger the day after the hurricane. I was here when the break-ins happened. After the ordeal the complex took the time to put notes on the windshields of anyone who had visible items in their car that might make them a target for a car thief. I know because I had a note on my car listing the items they recommend me removing out of plain view from my car.
The apartment is good...it's an apartment so there is always something you'll have to deal with. I'm a single female with a nice car, yet I just signed for another year. The apartment is not as bad as people make it out to be, the price is decent (for the area), the staff is very helpful and friendly (when you deal with them in a kind and mature way), and they actively try to make our tenant experience a pleasant one.

I love how the people defending the property are all Anonymous. Yep, it's management trying to save their asses.
I have no issues saying who I am and I know management knows who I am. I have little respect for them and the property owners that allow this crap happen here.

Cheese_Dip$hit - I think it's funny how you have to go through every comment and put in your 2 cents on why you think this place is so bad because of a personal problem you had. Grow up. Get a life. Grow a pair (whether male or female, it will most likely help you). And we choose to respond Anon cause we can. We are legion. You cannot stop us.

Well I know I'm not going to rent here. Apparently the management has time to post long replies online instead of working with and talking to their tenants.

I am planning to move in here, and really don't have anything to say about the place yet. I do want to say that I think it's funny that people think anonymous must mean it's someone that works there. I also think it's funny that people think by having "Cheese_Dip" as your name makes you any less anonymous than the rest of us. It's unlikely that the response is from someone that works there, I have commented on the posts for my current apartment before as anonymous, not because I work there, but because the majority of these annoying complaints are from people who have no reality of the outside world. We live in Houston, there WILL be break-ins, there WILL be crime and there WILL be issues with every single apartment. You have to learn to be prepared for these issues and learn to speak with management nicely, rather than come in complaining like a trashy person. Believe me, I've seen the trash in many complexes that come and complain as though every single break-in is the fault of the complex. The people that work with or own the complex are not breaking into your cars, try treating them with some respect, and maybe they'll care about your issues a little more.
