Had a nice apt. here... From: mlee Date posted: 10/14/2002 Years at this apartment: 1997 - 1998 1 response   ...but this was a few years ago. lived there for a year and had a nice 1 bed/1 bath on the third floor. elevator was old but worked. my apt. was spotless and clean when i moved in. i had a discount on my rent because i worked for one of the area's major employers. i had a fireplace in my apt. and bought my own washer and dryer that had connections outside (on the patio) in a little storage/utility type room. all appliances worked fine and never had maintenance issues except to get a lock fixed, and it was done promptly. never had any ants or roaches or other pests. front desk staff was always courteous towards me. i am female and lived alone there but never felt unsafe. granted the area is not a rich money area by far, and if that is what you are used to, you will probably not want to live here. this area is close to houston intercontinental airport so go figure. the general area can be rough, but noone ever gave me any trouble. you have to use some common sense and be aware of your surroundings but that should go without saying! my neighbors were always friendly to me. i would be gone for days at a time on business and had bought a brand new mustang while i lived there but never had any theft or burglary issues. did not ever use exercise or laundry facilites so can't comment on those. security was pretty much nonexistent but there were several harris county deputies who were around and i believe a few houston police officers either living there or visiting frequently. i can't really say anything bad about this place because i had a pleasant experience there. things might have changed since i lived there, though.
