I believe this place is now called Empirian at Park Row. I moved into these apartments right after they opened, and lived there for 1.5 years. My biggest complaints would be the trash issue, and that the security gates worked for maybe a week while I lived there. I started to feel more uncomfortable as the crime incidents increased, and often did not feel safe going to my car at night. I've also found that it is quite overpriced for it's location. Other than these details, my living experience there was decent.
HOWEVER, BEWARE IF YOU OWN PETS while you live there. When I moved out, I left the apartment completely spotless. I work a lot, and am rarely home, so the place looked hardly lived in. Much to my surprise, a month later I received a bill for over $400 in carpet cleaning charges. They weren't requiring a deposit when I moved in, so I owed the full amount. Apparently if you have any pets in the apartment, they automatically charge you $140 for a "pet cleaning." Would have been nice to know when I signed the lease for my cat and myself. Also, there were a couple small stains (about as large as your thumb nail) which accounted for the rest of the cleaning charges. Don't be fooled by the $300 pet fee, and the $10/month pet fee on your rent. All of this money goes down the drain, and not a penny of it goes toward the carpet cleaning. Hopefully this will warn some of you so you don't end up with the same outrageous bill that I got last year!
