I visited these apartments a few times, but I decided not to move there for a few reasons...altough the apartments look very nice, but there was just TOO much activity going on outside. LOTS AND LOTS of kids seemingly everywhere. If you are looking for somewhere quiet, I don't think this is the place for you.
Also, I visited the elementary school that my son would have to go to if we lived there and I didn't like it (Normandy Crossing). The school didn't seem like anywhere I would want to be (even thought it is new) so I know my son wouldn't want to be there either.
I did get a great rate on the apartment (if I would have chosen it), and maybe if the apartments were zoned to a better school, and if there weren't so many kids just "hanging out" I would have concidered moving there.
I DID find a complex, right up the beltway (Chateaux Fall Creek Apertments) that was built by the same company, and is IDENTICAL to Chateaux Normandie. They were quiet, but I wasn't offered a deal on the rent like at Chateaux Normandie, so it was a little too pricy for me. My guess is because they don't have as much traffic, or kids running around everywhere like Chateaux Normandie. They are zoned to Humble schools.

For you... You just may need to check yourself out. To me it seems like you are the one that needs some rating. If you are a parent you should know that children need there kid space as well. I feel sorry for your child, because I want my children to interact with other children in there spare time. As far as Normandy Crossing you must could'nt find nothing bad to say, so you threw your son in there as if it was his decision for school placement, because Normandy Crossing is a good school for children that want to learn in an nice environment.Maybe your child needs to be in Aldine,North Forest or Houston ISD, because you can't get no better than Galena Park ISD in this area. I feel if you want piece and quiet you need to be in the country living instead of a busy city. You must be one of those parents that always blaming something on someone else's child that why you want to keep your child away from other children you need to home school him then.

I have to disagree with this response. I know family who live in apartments where there are kids but its peaceful and quiet. That is because the adults know how to teach their kids respects. As the saying goes, a child should be seen and not heard. Don't nobody want to hear kids hanging out at all times of night nor if the place has a playground for the kids thats where they need to be playing at. Now you must be one of those whose kids are the ones always out and wrecking havoc in the complex, while you sit on the inside and just happy that they are out of your hair. You can't blame a parent for having a certain feel about an area. But then again, gorillas are parents too.
