Well, if you don't mind having loud and squeaky water pipes, maintenance work taking forever, dull paint work, and dated appliances its not so bad. Sometimes its noisy, its rarely quiet. They allow pets, which is okay if you like animals, but most of the dogs around here are small and bark a lot. They constantly seem to be fixing the surfaces in the parking lot. Speaking Spanish is a plus if you want to get anything fixed in a decent time frame. There is only one entrance and exit, and they are backwards to the road system, you enter on the left and exit on the right, just like if you were driving in England, so it is very likely that you get someone trying to turning in where you are trying to turn out, and the "security gates" are constantly broken. They tried putting Wi-Fi in the apartment buildings, but I don't think that lasted long. If you don't want satellite there's only one cable company that will service the complex to my knowledge, and cell phone service is terrible in the buildings. Also, DSL is the best you can get with the internet with only one unknown internet company called Oplink in operation. Its a decent location if you are a student, being close to the Southwest Freeway.
