*sigh* i honestly dont know why you people have such a problem with people who dont love this place. thats what these reviews are for. we dont all have to agree. by the way... did you all hear the alarm again last night. it wasnt so bad, just rang for 20 minutes this time, again at 2 in the morning.

It is 2:25 in the morning on 5/6 and I'm writing this response because I have been woken up by yet another fire alarm and I feel obligated to at least write about it considering management isn't getting the problem fixed. I cannot stress how much these fire alarms alone have soured my opinion of this place. I have been woken up more times by alarms here than I had back during my freshman year living in a dorm on campus.
As for the person that heard the alarm, obviously they were not in the same section of the complex that was experiencing the fire alarm warning. It is _impossible_, I state again, _IMPOSSIBLE_ to sleep through this. The alarms are in the apartments and produce a high-pitch squealing that is IDENTICAL to the sound made by a typical carbon monoxide detector. The alarms are designed to not be slept through, and they do their job well. As far as amorphousplama's comments regarding the alarms, I can only say I envy you and wish I lived in the Cheval you live in. For the Cheval that _I_ live in is averaging an fire alarm every three weeks now.

Well, I live, as I've said before, in the back far right hand building of the complex. I'm loath to put my actual apartment number here to "prove" that I actually live here, I'd probably get harassed or egged or something. Maybe you could ask to switch apartments- there are several empty ones in my building. The view may be to the office building next door or the street in the back, but that's better than 5 fire alarms a month I would think.
