I want to begin by saying I was one of the very first residents at this place.
I'm going to start with the bad and this may take a while. Lets talk about the apartment itself. The kitchen has zero cabinet space, in my apartment you get one cabinet for pots and pans that is just not enough for people who actually cook. A long time ago I had to take down my smoke alarm because its located right above my kitchen. I coudnt cook anything without that stupid thing going off(one of many design flaws of this place). The hot water heater is located right above the dryer so lets just say I have a perminant mark on my forehead (another design flaw).
Lets move to the bathroom, I get a hot shower every so often, no biggie. The light switch is behind the door(another design flaw). So what i'm saying is you have to almost close the bathroom door to turn the light on. They built the bathrooms in this place with the fart fan wired to the light switch. Everytime you turn the light on you hear the annoying blower.
Bedroom time, the closet door light switch is located on the other side of the door, i have to reach across the door to turn the ligtht on.(another design flaw)
On to the living room, I have at least two phone jacks that haven't worked since day one. I dont really need them but i'm just saying they dont work.
Overall, The walls are way to thin I mean paper thin. Cheval is only a few years old and allready my living room floor creaks when I walk in certain areas. I have to tip- toe just to not make it sound like bigfoot is inhabiting my aparmtent. The hallways echo like the grand canyon.(another design flaw) I can hear people wispering in the hallways its that bad. I live in the middle of the hallway and I can hear women in high heels turning the corner about 30 yards away. It gets louder and louder as they move closer. I can also hear when people "lock their doors" even several doors down. So basically I can hear everthing.
Driving in and out of cheval,for some reason the people who live here seem to think only one car can pass on the side entrance. They drive right smack in the middle and pass you even if you were there first. If they would allow the gate to open all the way two vehicles can pass with ease. But the women and their mercedes simply do not have enough time to wait. Ok, how about the garage and the entrance to the garage. There isn't enough space for two vehicles to turn in the garage and at the entrance.(design flaw) There are blind turns when your driving and if your not going slow you can easily wreck. And the most annoying thing about driving in cheval is, on the side there are parrallel parking spaces. HMMMM! Is it that people can't park or just dont care. They will park diagonal, leaving the rear of their vehicles sticking out where cars are trying to drive.
I'm not going to talk about the staff because there is so much turnover you can't get to know them or build a relationship.
Last but not least the "type" of people that inhabit cheval. The types of people i'm talking about are the kind of people that....buy's 100,000 dollar cars and lives in an apartment. They have parties late late at night. They talk loudly on their cellphones in the hallway. They slam their doors knowing but not caring. They come home at 3:00am (every weekend) after the clubs of course, and march down the hall ways shouting cheerfully without a care in the world. They are the types of people that will have friends over trying to open your door thinking its thier friends door. They are the type of people who live in the courtyard area knowing that it echoes but still has parties with their patio doors open and wants all the other residents to know they are having a good time, at the expense of your ear drums. They are the types of people that will continue to be loud no matter how many times you comaplain about them. They are the types of people that do not know the volume of their own voice. These same people will have friends over every night and be loud like it's their own home and they live in the middle of nowhere. I'M TALKING ABOUT YOUNG PRETENTIOUS PARTIERS.
If you are a regular person that likes privacy do not rent here. I'm leaving this place pretty soon and I can't wait.
