Not so bad

Reading these other comments from people, I never knew it was such a terrible place to live!! I suppose it depends on the phase you live in. When we first moved in, it was noisy, but complaints to the office took care of that. Maintenence can be sketchy sometimes, but they always did get the job done, although it might have taken 1 or 2 calls. The neighborhood, yes it was bad. But, the community was gated, the apartments have alarms, and there is a security patrol that every residence has the number to and you can see driving around. I never felt unsafe and I am a single white female in my 20s. My car was never messed with, although it is not the nicest thing in the world. My roommate however had a brand new Monte Carlo with an alarm and had no problems. Door dings from parking, definitly going to happen. Your neighbors have no regard for your property. Parking, if you leave at night, yes it will be hard to find a place, you might have to park a ways away and walk but no big deal. The worst thing i can think of is the rain. If it rains even a little bit, the sidewalks were completly flooded around my apartment to the point that i had to role my pants up. The grounds otherwise were kept up well. The pools always seemed really clean to me and i was there everyday this summer. The staff always jumped to help and i had a good relationship with them--very helpful, friendly, and solicitous. however, they were bad about getting notices out about changes in policies (like pool pass and gate key) and bulletins of happenings in the area. but the apt holds mixers for its residence, has internet access, you can rent the pool, gives a discount to teachers, and is well worth the money. the apts are very pretty on the inside with two toned paints, molding, etc. my friends were often surprised when they walked inside and found out how much i was paying. if you are not picky this is a good place, i lived in spring before in a nicer neighborhood, more expensive apts, and had more problems there with breakins and the apt maintenence and staff. another plus about city view, utilities cheap because all appliances new.
