I have lived in the same unit on the property since 1997 and will probably be here until I purchase a house. The complex was built in 1964/1965 so it's a bit older. There are no washer-dryers in the units and laundry rooms are often busy at the wrong times. But, if something breaks in my apartment they usually get to it within 24 hours. They also do a great job of keeping the grounds (bushes, trees and pools) manicured and clean, and it does make a noticeable difference. Management is reasonable and works hard to keep their residents happy. I have enjoyed living here at the Colony Oaks over the years for the most part even despite the occasional "fly-by-nighter" who moves in in the middle of the night and eventually leaves in the same fashion. Most of the clientel is working class and retired folks. Again most, but not all. Some who move in here are filthy, trashy, no class, uneducated types regardless of where they live (leaving thier trash in the parking lots, letting junk/trash accumulate on their patios, letting their dogs or dirty kids run loose with no supervision). Yuk! One plus is that I have had NO trouble with bugs since living here. Some apartments are notorious for bug problems as you might notice after reading apartment reviews from all over the city...
