I'd move back again

I spent two years there before moving away from Houston. I'd move back without a second thought. The apartment seemed well built. The walls were solid, with minimal outside noise getting in. The only time I had a problem was when my neighbors yelled at each other in the bathroom or when a car alarm went off outside. My airconditioning did break one time, on a Sunday morning, but they had it working again 3 hours after I reported it. They seemed to have a high turnover rate with their staff, but they were always friendly when I went to the office.
They were quick with repairs like air conditioning and burnt out lights in the walkways (1 day), but minor repairs like a running toilet and difficult lock took up to a week.
The area was quiet, most people seemed to keep to themselves. They did hold weekly "resident events" so you could easily meet your neighbors if you were interested.
My water bill was cheap, usually around $15 for 1 person using a clothes washer and dish washer. The electricity varied from $15 - $150 depending on the month (I think Reliant was screwing with me.)
Depending on what time you leave the apartments, it could be difficult turning from Deerwood Drive onto the beltway feeder. (5-15 minutes if you leave around 7:40am) They told me when I moved in that they were working on getting a stop light set up there, it didn't happen and I don't see how it ever could. If they are still saying it, don't count on it.
The place isn't perfect, but overall, my experience was pleasant.
