Not too bad.......depending on your specific needs

I visit my boyfriend here quite often and was appalled at some of the things I observed:
1. Roaches were everywhere until he purchased a roach tape that got rid of them
2. Antiquated appliances that need to be thrown out
3. The lack of space between you and your neighbor. You hear their conversations
clearly if they're like the loudmouths who just moved out.... thank God!
4. Parking could be better- a shed, a larger parking lot or even assigned parking
spaces would be great.
5. The laundry rooms are small, only three for several hundred residents w/ 4
washers and 8 dryers in each of them (more or less.)
6. There are a lot of fees here: a fee to add a name to your lease, a fee to remove
a name from your lease, a transfer fee (like everywhere else),a new admin fee if
you want to transfer plus you have to pay the market rent! I wish they'd remove
some of these fees, the average person cannot afford all these, but who gives a
damn about the average person''' They just see $$$$. This feels like extortion.
I like these:
1. The cable is included in the relatively cheap rent
2. It's quiet until the neighbors who are about 3-4 ft from your apt decide to go
outside and converse
3. The crime rate appears to be low and I do not see anyone suspicious lurking on
the premises even though the complex is so close to Food Town
4. The efficiency is bigger than most that I've seen and the design is not too bad
either- the bedroom and living/dining areas are separated
5. Water/ sewage is cheap
6. The property is pretty clean; I've seen the Maintenance guys cleaning and
planting flowers
7. There's a Washerteria within walking distance and the dryers here allow about 45
mins to dry with only 75 cents. I think that's really good unless you're waiting
for one of the dryers.
Even with the negative points, I'm contemplating moving into an Apt of my own here. It's really not bad, just pay your rent on time because you will be charged late fees and don't transfer unless you have quite a bit saved up or have a roommate or someone else who can help you with all the fees.
