I would not advise anyone to move here. Maybe i would have 3 years ago when i first moved here. First of all, the parking is ridiculous. If you live in the front of the complex it's really bad, but if you move to the back it's tolerable. However, other things seem to get worse if you live in the back. I lived in the front of the complex at first, and things were kind of cool in the beginning, and it was fairly quiet. I never found a decent place to park unless I was coming home early. After 5 pm I had to park a LONG ways from my apartment. It may have taken me at least 2-3 minutes to walk to my apartment. Very dangerous if you live alone and come in late at night. And did I mention there are lots of weirdos that live around there that stare at you. Kind of creepy. Anyway...that was living in the front. I tried to move out last year, but about a month before I was scheduled to leave they convinced me to stay. Yup. They suckered me into staying. They offered me a bigger unit, at a lower price than usual to beat the other apartment's price I was going to move in. So I stayed. Well, after about 5 month's my car got broken into. And my radio was stolen along with a speaker box and my lock was broken on the driver's side. About a month later a friend of mines side mirror with signal lights were yanked off. And a few other Neighbors' cars were broken into as well. People started hanging around outside and the air is just filled with the smell of weed from time to time. I have next door neighbors that fight and yell every couple of weeks. I almost thought I would have to call the police. But then they bang on my wall for "disturbing" them when they do most of the disturbing with their fighting and cussing. (Hint Hint) The maintenance never fixes ANYTHING! They are very nice people, but dont do anything. They are nice to you but they dont fix. You can report all you want and they never come to fix a thing. My AC is leaking water, I still have brown spots on my ceilling from Hurricne Ike and some other damage on the outside. You can only get Comcast Cable or some type of satellite dish. My friend couldn't get either one. So she had to settle for no cable tv. And it's even hard to get Satellite because there are so many trees and the units are too close together. The access gate is really old and it hit my brand new truck once. Of course they weren't responsible, so I had to pay 500.00 to get it fixed. There's also trouble getting into the complex because some people dont have access cards and the gate codes are never programed in. If you loose your gate card, you have to pay 40.00 to get a new one. I'm on the third floor, so I'm not in a hurry to move until I can afford movers to help. But I am planning to MOVE! The rent is fairly cheap, but unless you want your car broken, nuthing fixed, and rowdy neighbors, DO NOT MOVE HERE! It's better to just pay a little extra and live somewhere nice.
