Residents are the main problem

I've been here from almost the beginning - I love my apartment, the location, grounds and the amenities. All are well-maintained, new and really nice. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous.
I agree with some of the other posters... the residents cause most of the problems. On most weekends the pool area is completely over-run with multitudes of obnoxious people screaming their heads off at their "Bud Light, frat-house, watch-me-do-a canon-ball dude" style pool parties. Lovely. I love a party too, but getting hit in the head with a football, and watching your continuous canon-ball is not my idea of fun.
It's common for 20 or more "guests" to arrive at one time and take up all the chairs and pool space with enormous wheeled ice chests - leaving no room for people who actually LIVE here.
On mornings after the pool parties, the entire area is strewn with empty beer bottles, floating cans, and cigarette butts. Unbelievable that people expect maintenance to act as a maid service to clean up their trash.
Security is a huge issue in this area of town - cars have been stolen, MANY expensive bikes have been stolen out of the locked storage area - awhile back the large plasma screen TV in the clubhouse was also stolen. Pretty much any thing not securely bolted down can and WILL be stolen.
I've never had a problem with management or maintenance. Every repair I've requested was completed the same day or the next.
My one wish would be that management would spring for a weekend security guard at night - that would help crack down on the car and bike thieves. With the rent we pay - it's not much of an outrageous request to make.
