I would have to disagree with everything! The management has not changed in 24 years. They always promote within the company. Same rules, same policies just a different face. People are allowed to get promoted, you know! And maintenance is GREAT! He is very quick to respond and if it has to take a little longer it is because a part has to be ordered. Arruth Associates are not CROOKS! There always has to be a probable cause for everything. I live here and NEVER see people jumping the gates or walking around at night. You must be talking about another property. There are zero tolerance officers that are here ALOT! Arruth has the highest quailifications of any other property. NO FELONY's, NO misdemeanors, you have to have good employment history and have fairly good credit. Excelsior is a "DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!"

Ha ha ha!!!! That aptrater07 is probably someone who works in the office! Anyone who lives at Excelsior or on that block knows all about the crime! If you don't believe it you can call Harris county sheriffs dept and they will tell you all about it. Or ask a police officer they will tell you that the whole area needs to be bombed! If you belong to a gang or you can handle being robbed at gun point or you are not scared of the felons that live in the surrounding apartments then go right on ahead and move in! They are definetly the most most beautiful apartments in the area but if you have a family and aren't in a gang I would not move there.

aptrater07 - I lived here the same time that you did. I routinely saw people jumping the fences in broad daylight. There were ALWAYS gangs of people walking around at night. Perhaps the management and maintainence were better then most, but they were powerless against the crime and roaming packs of thugs.

We are relocating from Detroit and when we found this on the internet we stopped searching because we thought this was the one! I am glad I found this site because now, I am definitly not moving in. My husband said NO WAY!! We have two brand new cars and there is no way we would be comfortable there not to mention that I may be home alone. Thank you for your candid statments.
