I have lived here since November of 05. I am not here to "Bash" Forest Green or down talk them. All apartment complexes have their share of negatives and positives. I will say first, If you are a person who needs a lot of space and your finances are limited. This will work great for you. If you are single or a single couple with NO children, this may work for you also.
BUT..In the 1 1/2 Years that I have lived here, my sister, my x-boyfriend, my best friend, my aunt and MY SELF have all been towed from this property. Yea I live here... the guard, which by the way who is hardly ever there, or on the phone (so you can't make a reservation) stated I did a gate run... and I pay rent here.. go figure.. Not to mention that it cost $187.50 each time someone is towed. My brother-n-law showed a log in time (came into the complex) of 7:55 p.m. He was dropping of my children who had stayed the weekend with my sister...His truck was towed at 8:01 p.m. He parked his truck, walked the kids to the door, said good night, and by the time he had gotten to his truck it was gone.. So what I am saying is forget about pulling your car up a little closer to put of groceries, bring something maybe to heavy to carry into the apt etc.. YOU WILL BE TOWED.... Parking is assigned, yes, one vehicle, but there is NO guess parking at all NONE....There are tow truck drivers that do random drive by's every hour on the hour to tow vehichles..and yes the complex authorizes it. The residents are not the ones calling. My car was towed out of my personal assigned parking spot.
I don't like the fact that the grounds are never nice.. No one should have to come home and drive up looking at trash all the time... It is really nasty through out the parking lot and grounds.. All the time. There is NO where for children to play, so yea they do things like throw things in the pool... run around.. It is not kid friendly. The swimming pool is open about 2 weeks out of the summer... My children love to swim but can't.
Personally I have never had a problem with office staff and or maintenance. When things were broken and needed to be fixed. It was taken care of. My water bill ran me about $21 a month which was great for a family of 3. And my electric bill on an apartment approximately 1300 sf never went over $110 the whole time I was there... And this was with washing, and drying clothes every day, children in and out on a daily basis, TV's on all the time etc. I was able to save a lot of money while I lived here, but wasn't worth it. I would have preferred to pay more, for better conditions.
I am moving because the neighborhood is changing, quickly. This is a very heavy traffic area and people are always roaming or walking around. Again I would not reccommend a person that a person who has young children consider moving here... Mine are not allowed outdoors if I'm not with them.. If you are a single, attractive woman, be CAREFUL.... I've had more then my share of circumstances. And believe me the police are not that eager to help, when you need them to. And that is really sad...Rent has gone up since I've been here, but whose hasn't.. April is my last month here, and I am now having to pay almost $900 a month, for a smaller place, in a much better neighborhood.
