I lived here for nearly 2 years. In that time, it was actually pretty good, I'd say. However, this was my first apartment and I didn't know exactly what to expect. I came from the suburbs of Channelview and was a little scared of NorthShore to admit. But, I never had any problems. My car was never broken into nor was my apt. I lived on the 1st floor too. My apt. was pretty big and and was nice. The laundry area sucks and I have to admit I lived in the front by the office, 1301 to be exact. The back areas I would never go into at night, ever. Period. This place is kind of ghetto and in the ghetto as far as I'm concerned but I would say that I recommend it depending on which unit you get.
