I tried to lease an apartment and they said my credit was not good enough. I wasn't trying to buy the complex, only lease an apartment. I have no broken leases and no criminal background. I have worked for the State of Texas and passed their background check, so whats up with these people. I think some on the management have multiple personalities if you know what I mean.I was told that corp. check my cresit which I have since investigated and found to be a lie. I have since learned that it 's manager preference. I'm your average person I'm 54 years old. The apartment was for me my daughter and a 2 year old grandbaby. Maybe they were looking for different kind of tenants. Who knows. Will look else where hoping they have better management.

It is against the Fair housing act to deny you housing due to age, race, religion, etc. They have to have good reason. Since it has been less than a year then you can make a complaint through the secretary of state.
