Why so much crime''' From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 9/27/2005 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005 1 response   Suprising level of criminal activity. Break ins, stolen hubcaps, stuff taken off porch, etc... It seems like criminals know wealthy people live here and that the security is lax... I am not sure why an apt. complex that costs so much exerts so little effort on providing a minimal level of security! I have had three problems with this in one year. the garage and complex basically has one car entrance and three walk in entrances. Protecting this area seems astoundingly simple and yet they seemingly do nothing. There is allegedly a guard on duty in the night time hours though I would say I see the guard about once every three weeks, usually relaxing in his or her car... Several times cars have had their rims/hubcaps stolen and the car is left on blocks and then comically the security guard on duty not only misses the crime itself but fails to note on his shift report that there was a mercedes on blocks in the garage with no wheels on it... It would be hilarious if I were not paying so much money to have to deal with this crap once every four months or so. Also noise is an issue, about 60% of the apts. are on the garage which means Thursday nights and Friday nights are pretty noisy. There is also some psycho woman who rides her Harley through the garage every thurs. night, revving her engine and setting off all the car alarms between the first floor and whichever floor she parks on... It is a really nice touch, only a raging case of herpes could make a person so inconsiderate. The staff is a totally mixed bag... Half of them are polite, helpful and really a pleasure to work with. The other half pretty much just stare at you like you have horns growing out of your head... I just remember which ones are NOT A-holes and wait till they are around to get service. lGjq8RUBjvsZjkb5ueji
