I rented here in 2005 because of the location, upscale finishes and decent reputation. Now in October 2009, I have had my storage unit broken into twice, my girlfriend's car broken into and robbed (shattered window) and as of yesterday my car broken into (shattered window) and also items stolen from within. Each time the management has expressed regret about the repeated thefts, but has done absolutely nothing about the security. When my girlfriend's car was broken into, I asked if they had ever considered putting in cameras in the parking lot. Their answer has been ..."well, it is a liability and very expensive..." This is an unacceptable response when part of what the rent payment includes is a gated, secure community. The security gate is most often broken, the security guards are completely ineffective and disengaged. Discussions with the police have confirmed that the parking garage is a regular crime scene for theft. And most often your parking space is likely to be two floors removed from your apartment and comes with free door dings. We strongly recommend not living here, and will ourselves be looking for alternative accommodations based on the lack of any response to make our experience here safe and secure.

I completely disagree. I have lived her for 2 years, and even with a management change I have been very satisfied. New mgmt has replaced the cameras, offered updated facilities, coffee bar, and new club room hrs. I only know of the gate being broken 2 times, and they were repiaring it the same day. I have not experianced the elevators out at all. What was left in your car that someone wanted. Was this at all the fault of you or your girlfriend?
