Gables Residential/the Gables at Cityscape is allowing thefts from personnel to go unchecked. Not only have I been burglarized by personnel (maint)back in July 2006 but now they have attempted to steal my identity along with stealing my mail! I am being victimized and despite all the police reports I've filed, in which I've been told by HPD that 90% of them do not get investigated, nothing is being done about it. I have witness on several occasions, maintenance slashing trash bags with razor blades, wearing rubber gloves digging through the residence trash.
I have made repeated attempts to resolve this matter which have been ignored and to make matters worse the Gables apartment manager, Taylor DeLeon only adds to problem. My situation does not phase her, if anything it has been made worse by her rudeness and unsympathetic attitude towards my attempts to keeping my good name and financial identity in tact. I am fighting this with all the resource I have. Beware if you live here and don't move in if you're looking-see pic of how they left my place when they came in to repair my washer and stole my jewlery!
June 2006
I have been a resident at Gables Cityscape for 2 years and plan to move when my lease is up. There have been a few situations that have led me to this decision. A few weeks ago, I went to take out my trash and walked up on 2 maintenance men slashing trash bags with razor blades-going through resident s trash! I can only assume they were doing this for IDENTITY THEFT! Also, the staff in the office changes so much that I no longer bother to get names because I know that person won t be there in a few months! Customer service is horrible! They never answer their phones and they are hardly there!
If you are a current resident then I must send give you a WARNING from a hard lesson I just learned! BE SURE TO HAVE YOUR PARKIGN TAG HANGING when parking your car in resident parking! I had a satellite radio installed in my vehicle the other day and the guys that installed it either knocked off the hanging tag-sticker or thet took it! I'm not sure but it s missing and I never noticed it was missing until it was towed out of resident parking the next day! I had to pay $196 to get my car out. I contacted the manager, who has my vehicle on file but she was a complete jerk about it. I mentioned that a letter should be sent out advising residents that this might happen to them and she said that they were not going to do that. I told her that residents needed to know that this could happen but she wouldn t hear of it. So be WARNED IF you get any service done on your car or just so happen to rent a car, make sure when you pick up your car that you still have your parking tag hanging OR be ready to dish out $196 to get your car or rental car out of the impound! Don't expect anything from the office-not even an apology or a letter to all residents that this could happen to them because I just found out that they get a kick back from the tow truck company! So they enjoy making a little money off the situation. It was an unfortunate situation for me but I'm an honest person and I believe in KARMA! In the end it all comes back! Their negative energy will come back to them and remember-you were warned!

Same thing happened to me. I jsut bought a new car and it was towed shortly after. To make it worse, I was erroneously towed 6 months back by Cody's Tow TRuck Driving service. I was unloading a new computer and within 5 minutes (no joke) the car was gone. When confronted he lied about his operations and only when I said I had witnesses and cellphone time stamps did he drop the charges. The office staff was mediocre towards my concern and his obvious shady business. I also pay $170 a month in utilities because the air conditioning has to be left on all day jsut so I can get it cool enough ot sleep at night. TOday I left it on 78 all day, came home at 8, put it on 68 and 2 hours later its still 78 degrees.

I would like to know how you found out that the complex gets kick backs from the towing company. I would like to use that information in my lawsuit against them!

I did not know it was the maintenance that was stealing trash. They successfully opened up several credit cards under my name and used them. They left the mailbox broken for over a month where you could just pull the whole wall open. And they were actually checking my mail every day, that's how they got the cards out of the mail. When I spoke to the police they said that it had happened there alot. Management did not apologize. They acted like somehow I was responsible. And they acted like they had never heard of that happening here before.

These posts make you all sound crazy. How is it you have come to the conclusion that management was stealing? Almost all management companies put their employees through extensive background checks. If you had proof you wouldn't be posting on here. Instead you would be in court owning the place. Don't place false blame on people that is SLANDER. Read what you write before hitting submit next time! FYI - The picture only illustrates that you are a slob and not that management is shady. You might just want to take it off here so that everyone out there isn't see what a mess you live in!
