When I first moved here, I really regretted my decision. The management and maintenance crew totally sucked and were incompetent. They even messed up my move in day! About half way through my stay ( I signed 1 year lease ending 1/09) Cityscape hired new personnel. That helped out tremendously EXCEPT for the fact that the accounting book were so messed up that they tried to charge us back payments for their mistakes. After some discussion, everything was resolved and I was happy with the outcome. The area is fantastic. You are two minutes from everything. The rent (for the area) is somewhat reasonable. I have always felt safe at the property but I can tell you that at least 4 times (that I know of) cars have been broken into and someone rammed the gate. The gate has also been a serious issue because it has consistently malfunctioned. Not were people or cars were injured but where the gates were left open days at a time. The walls are semi thin but for the most part every one is pretty quite. There really aren't many families at this property and people seem to keep to themselves. The maintenance people really have no idea what the are doing and rig everything they can. You typically have to place 3 or 4 calls before anything is done properly. I have noticed once or twice (by lights being left on) that the maintenance people went into the bedrooms when there was no reason to. Again, I would release with Gables Cityscape if I wasn't moving into a house. You have to understand that this is Houston, this is an apartment community and even though you have to pay up to stay somewhere nice, people will always want to vandalize and/or cause problems. There is pet rent here and the electricity runs kinda high... 130/month. Hope this helps.
