ok let's set the record straight! i've lived here 6 years. no maintance man from this complex was killed. that happened at another apt complex called the cove, which has since change ownership and given a new name. while there was a period of where the office underwent personnel changes and things went wacko, we got a new ownership too and a great office and maintance staff. I've had leakage, applicance break down.
while i had to accept my part of the responsiblity (i.e keeping on top of the problem) there were always fixed completely. i've never had a problem where i was ignored. i've been homeowner. if you think getting things fixed in your apt is not going well, try owning a home and dealing with contractors. when the hurricane came,
they took a survery of the complex and those problems that were the worst got fixed first and so forth. i applaud the team. i love the fact at leasing signing i can negotiate for new carpets, custom paint jobs, new counter tops etc. last year we got an apt of partial wood floors/carpeting. and after 5 years we now have reserved parking spot. parking can be a challenge sometimes. but this is typical of many rental places. so what else is new. the lake is great, the grounds are clean, the pool is clean. it is gated but we all know you can manually move any gate. and folks do it. gated does not mean folks cant get in. you need a security guard for that. and as far as the policeman who lives here. he works full time and he doesnt come except in extreme emergency. he is not our private policeman for heavens sake LOL
pay your rent on time, be a good neighbor, and get to know the complex team and this place is great! if you dont want problems with things breaking down, moved into a brand new place..oh yeah, they have a whole list of stuff breaking down too..noisey neighbors...you get what you pay for and i am totally happy with this place.

You don't get the planes over much. What, did they close Hobby and the general public wasn't notified. The planes come in so low that unless you're hard of hearing it is a disturbance. The apt management went under a change? You mean they have changed again and again and again. Wow, they cleaned your outside windows. And here I thought that maintaining the exterior was their JOB. More than likely you live on the 3rd floor which is the only reason they cleaned them. Life is too short to put up with this nonsense, the incompetence, the laziness.

If you live here long enough, you don't hear the planes anymore. I should know..I grew up in the neighborhood behind your complex.
