Gramercy Park

Few problems, OK for awhile From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/10/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004   When me and my room mate first moved in here it seemed wonderful, everyone was super nice and the apartments seemed like a nice place to live. They are a good size overall, especially the bedrooms, closets and bathrooms. The worst problem was the parking, you could hardly ever find a spot close to your apartment! You had to be there before at least 7:00 to get anything remotely close. We usually had to walk a ways which totally sucks in rain or cold weather, and if you have groceries or, late at night. It's not safe! We had to park several times on the other side of the property. My room mate got on the waiting list for a covered spot and she stayed on there for seven months and never got a spot. It seems as if there just aren't enough spots. I also bought a new car about one month after I moved in here, now, after seven months, it has all kinds of dings and dents! The parking spaces are too small. We had a few maintenance problems with leaky faucets, clogged drains, and our patio door wouldn't lock. They we're pretty good about coming to fix stuff but one or two times it took them a few days to come and then they didn't even fix the patio door, they just told me "how" to lock it on the little piece of paper that they leave letting you know they've come. It didn't work at all. We also had stinky smells coming out of the drains quite often. Once you move in it's like the office people don't even want to talk to you anymore, they seem bothered by anything you tell them. The security guards don't even do anything. They never once talked to us, and 95% of the time you just see them sitting in the little building. The gate was usually broken or the gate remotes were and it was heck trying to get another one. As far as noise, it was pretty quiet where we were, but we lived on the 3rd floor. It seems nice to live there b/c the place looks decent and it's in a good area, but there are little problems to deal with. I think it's over priced too. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone simply b/c of the parking.
