When I first moved in, my wife and I were extremely excited. The entrance is gorgeous, there is a lot in these apartments. An indoor basketball court, which sold me in the beginning, they had a movie theater, a computer room, an exercise room, and a nice swimming pool. I have to say that for the price, it seems worth it. I paid $700, for a small bedroom, but it was ok, because it was my wife and I. We had a huge bathroom with a his and her's sinks, plus we had our own washer and dryer. The rooms had crown molding, plus the walk in closets where huge; the rooms where laid out spacious, so there seemed to be plenty of room.

Now comes the bad:
I lived here for over a year 1/2, but I broke my lease for unexpected things happening at the complex. To get started, the carpet was cheaply made and it ripped over and over, the interior was falling apart, such as the dish washer and faucets. The hot water only lasted about 5 minutes, which really sucked. Plus every night I had the upstairs residents up, I think they worked during the night, so during the day they where asleep. I could hear them having sex every night, the walls aren't thick and you can hear everything the upstairs residents where doing. They always complained about us during the afternoon after work, saying that our TV was to loud, this was around 5 PM, but when it came to us in the middle of the night, they did as they pleased and I wasn't able to complain, I had complains about the movie called "A Bugs Life", they complied that was to loud during the weekend. The management said they would have to start charging me fines about my loud movies. After a year of living there I kept my movies low, and the upstairs finally moved out.

The Basketball court was great if you didn't work in the morning, but after work, it would always be used by little thugs from the surrounding apartments, so I really didn't get much use out of it, and that is why I really wanted to be there in the first place.

Everything seemed ok, until a half a year after I moved in, Parking seemed to become an issue. There were always cars that didn't belong there parked in the residents spots, the cars would be there over the weekend. Parking was awful, some nights, I would have to park on the other side of the apartment complex, it took me 5-10 minutes to walk to my apartment, try doing this early in the morning on your way to work, this is always a good way to start your morning! I even paid for a covered parking lot, and when I came home there would be other cars parked in there, which really pissed me off since management wasn't around to move them.

To get to the main reason we left was the security! I noticed over time that security got worse, we have a security guard in the front, but that didn't stop people from coming over without being questoned. All resident had a remote access to the complex, so the security never had to stop and check us out, but they never checked out the others. I had people coming over to my apartment late at night, that I didn't even know. But what really did it for my wife was that one night after all these things happening about security issues, a armed man, came in and undressed 5 women and touched them unappropriately, which the complex said, which really means raped, and then robbed them, one lady was shot at, luckly for her the gunman missed. My wife didn't want to stay there any longer, she felt scared since I worked late hours at times. The management gave me a hard time about leaving and made me pay high fines for leaving, I thought that in the lease, there would be a clause that would allow us to leave in such a case, but they didn't see at being real danger, so I paid the fines and we left.

We have researched the claim about the gunman and if you check HPD there are no records for the above incident.
