I live here too and just found out a few days ago that they are putting the new gate in because they are getting rid of the security guards. I moved here specifically because of the live security. I was robbed at a sister property a year ago in the middle of the day with the office open! They walked down the middle of the drive, up to my apartment and forced their way in past my daughter. When it was time to sign the new lease at Gramercy they didn't bother to tell me they are getting rid of the guards. They still haven't told anyone and they have already started on the new gate!

The security guards are not leaving at all, this is a rumor. A new security guard was just hired and he is one of the best ones GP has ever had.
