I would've recommended this property if it had kept the same staff and not changed property ownership. The property is nice, tenants mind their business and the office staff is ok. Not the friendliest or most knowledgeable but not rude. The security guard is not on property everyday like he/she once was. The crime here consists of the occassional car theft, mugging or apartment break in. More frequent than I'd like but what area is crime free in apartment living' The location is convenient, close to many shopping venues and restaurants. Parking in the complex is pretty bad, I'd recommend paying the additional fee for a covered parking spot or garage. Maintenance is normally timely. DO NOT lose your key when the office is closed. Regardless of maintenance that lives on property and the security guard in the front, you'll need to call a locksmith or crash at a buddy's until the office opens the next day to get into your apartment. I am not renewing my lease because since the new management has stepped in, my rent for a 1 bd/1 bath has gone up $220. I was told this is because of the upgrades to wood floors and granite countertops... none of which I have. I will be subject to this new rent even though I do not have a newly renovated apartment and I am not happy about that at all. My main complaint would have to be the rent increase... may be a demographics thing but the upgrades are not worth it. There are comparable complexes in and around the area that have larger floor plans and are more reasonably priced.
