Initially good place to live but kiss the security deposit goodbye

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
We liked living there but after we moved out and spent an entire day cleaning the apartment the management refused to refund our security deposit.
They failed to provide a list of charges within the time required and once they did the charges convienatly added up to the exact value of our security deposit, including a charge for a gate remote which we had returned.
It's an OK place to live but the management was terrible after we moved out (despite living there for over two years and paying over $20,000 in rent) and I would advise people to look elsewhere.
